Off Road Tires

Off road tires are specifically designed for use on trucks and SUV’s. They can greatly improve the performance of your vehicle on unpaved and rocky surfaces. Most name brand tire companies will have several varieties from which to choose.

When purchasing off road tires, it is important to understand your specific requirements. A tire with a larger diameter will give your vehicle a great amount of ground clearance, and additional width will give it better traction. The trick is to find the appropriate balance between these two measurements.

The size of your off road tires will be greatly dependent on the size of your vehicle’s wheel well. Generally speaking, most tires over 31 inches in diameter will require a lift kit in order for the tires to be able to clear the wheel wells. Large tires can also require additional vehicle modifications such as gearing and shock absorbers.
